January 4:

Jennifer Elliott, 24, of Osborne Close, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer. The offence took place at Hastings on December 9. She also pleaded guilty to two further charges of assault by beating at Hastings on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 150 hours of unpaid work and ordered her to pay £325 in compensation.

Paige Begby, 22, of Frederick Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Hyundai vehicle on Pett Level Road, Pett Level, on September 24, while more than twice over the drink-drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 90 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. She was fined £220 and banned from driving for 23 months.

Jamie Deeprose, 33, of Ashdown Road, Bexhill, indicated a plea of guilty to sending text messages to a woman, which conveyed a threat with the intent of causing distress or anxiety. The offence took place at Bexhill, between May 16 and 17 last year. He was fined £300.

Caylan Park, 21, of Wharton Close, London, indicated guilty pleas to being in possession of quantities of heroin and crack cocaine. The offences took place at Hastings on January 7 last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of a four month electronically monitored curfew between 9pm and 5am.

Aaron Summers, 24, of Berengers Place, Dagenham, Kent, indicated guilty pleas to being in possession of quantities of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, at Hastings on November 24. He also indicated a guilty plea to being in possession of criminal property (cash), at Hastings on the same date. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on February 3 and released on unconditional bail.

Brandon Cobra-Lower, 18, of South Terrace, Hastings, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Bexhill on May 9 last year. He also pleaded guilty to destroying an Ideas Box, worth £35, belonging to Sanctuary Supported Living, at Bexhill, on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £85 in compensation.

Nicholas Carter, 44, of Sandrock Park, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota vehicle on Parkstone Road, Hastings, on September 26, while twice over the drink-drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 75 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £300 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Keiran Andrews, 20, of Warrior Square, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to fraudulently using a vehicle registration number. The offence took place at Hastings on May 28 last year. He also pleaded guilty to driving a BMW vehicle, at Hastings on the same date, with no licence or insurance. He was fined £160 and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Michael Matrtaj, 39, of Adam Close, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to attempting to communicate with a person under the age of 16, who he did not reasonably believe to be 16 or older, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification. The offence took place at Hastings between August 17 and October 28. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on February 3 and released on conditional bail.

Anthony Gardner, 33, of School Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving an Alfa Romeo vehicle on Malvern Way, Hastings, on March 28, last year, with cannabis and the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream. He also indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis resin at Robertsbridge on November 6. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Nicholas Baughurst, 59, of Barnhorn Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to using a Mercedes skip lorry on the Marsh Road, at Pevensey, on February 17, last year, when the skip was not strapped down and involved a danger of injury. He was fined £268 and banned from driving for 28 days.
