Man robbed in Hastings

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Hastings.

About 12.20pm on Monday (June 8), the 29-year-old victim was walking through Alexandra Park when he became aware of a man walking behind him who shouted out to him.

Having ignored him and carried on walking, the victim subsequently left the park, crossed St Helen’s Road and started walking into Ashford Road, where he was robbed.

Police said the suspect got away with a small quantity of cash, a bank card and a packet of cigarettes.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 500 of 08/06.
