Lovers of individual and original arts and craft should put Saturday December 12 in the diary.
This is the date for the next ‘Second Saturday Stands’ from 10am-3pm in the majestic St Barnabas Church in Sea Road, Bexhill.
This popular monthly event has been held by Cantelupe Community Association since 2011 to raise awareness of the church’s potential. Funds raised help towards the fabric of the building as well as work in the immediate area.
One of the organisers Dru Tramaseur said the event will showcase: “Handmade items for that special Christmas present for baby to great-granny, a pot of your favourite jam, cake or snack, plus one-off stationery and sculpted wood. The choice from over 30 stallholders is truly varied.
Entrance is free, and refreshments are available all day.”
The fair also includes handmade cards, knitted items, jewellery, delicious treats to take away, and hand-sewn items for the home.
There is full disabled access and toilet facilities, plus car parking. The church is a short stroll from the town’s main shopping streets railway station. For more information about the fair email firstname.lastname@example.org.
