A mother in Cooden is ‘disgusted’ by an unemptied dog poo bin covered in bags of faeces because there is no space.
Rebecca Pitman blasted Rother District Council for not emptying the bin in the wooded area on Falconbury Drive for days.
Ms Pitman discovered the bin when walking through the woodland with her daughter.
She said the council is not setting a good example when dog walkers are trying to clean up after their pet but cannot dispose of their waste because the bin is full.
“This isn’t very nice to walk past especially with children,” she said.
“Dog walkers are criticised or fined if they fail to clean up after their dogs so the council are not setting a very good example.”
A council spokesman said: “Temporary staffing issues experienced by our contractor has led to a short delay in collecting some dog waste bins.
“Rother District Council had already raised this matter with the contractor and has been assured that it is being dealt with as quickly as possible.”
