An elderly woman was found injured on her kitchen floor in Bexhill after four days of waiting on Tuesday (September 15).
The 95-year-old’s dial-a-ride driver alerted police after concerns that his regular passenger from Glyne Drive was missing and that the curtains in her home were drawn.
Officers attended shortly after midnight and after being unable to get a reply, broke a window pane to get into the property.
Inside they found the woman had fallen in her kitchen and had been unable to get up or summon help.
Police said it appeared that she had been there for some time and East Sussex Road Policing Unit tweeted she had been there since Friday.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital where she was kept in for observation.
The unit also tweeted she would make a full recovery.
