Rother chief executive and returning officer, Derek Stevens, said: "I believe Rother District Council has made significant improvements in service delivery over the past four years and many more improvements are in the pipeline.

"The elections process gives every one of our residents over the age of 18 the opportunity to influence the direction of the council over the next four year period and I would urge all residents of the area to use their votes."

The last date to register to vote for these elections is Wednesday, April 18.

Registration forms can be obtained from the elections office on 787825 or by downloading them from the Council's website at http://www.rother.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=400
