Sussex could be bathed in sunshine with temperatures hitting 30degC on Saturday (August 22).
However, Sunday and Monday are set for heavy showers with possible thunder.
Today (Thursday) is set to become increasingly cloudy with the possibility of some light rain, according to the Met Office.
Friday is due to start off dull but become sunnier and warming up as the day progresses.
And by Saturday temperatures could hit the high 20s and possibly 30degC, although coastal areas could be a degree or two cooler.
But the thermometer will drop again Sunday and Monday as heavy showers are set to return, with maybe even some thunder, although the sun may break through on occasion.
There is good news from the long range forecast with the south-east likely to experience warm or very conditions towards the end of August.
