More than 17 acres of woodland in Bexhill were sold at auction on Wednesday (October 31).
The site containing Kites Nest Wood and Wet Wood was among 180 lots in the auction held by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.
The woodland, measuring 6.98 hectares (17.25 acres), was sold for £43,000 at the sale in Brighton.
Senior auction valuer Emma Attrell said: “This exciting opportunity to acquire a wood was eagerly snapped up after strong interest was shown by bidder.
“There is always something special about woodland lots and this one was no exception.”
There are two footpaths accessing the woodland, one leading from Cowdrey Park Road and the other along the farmer’s access track passing down the western boundary.
