Expansion for Cooden Beach Hotel
THE Cooden Beach Hotel has been given approval to go ahead with its planned expansion.
Rother planning committee gave outline permission earlier this year for the demolition of the hotel's eight-room annexe in Herbrand Walk and its pool house and the erection of 15 new apartments and eight hotel letting rooms plus 17 more parking spaces.
Last Thursday's Town Hall meeting gave delegated approval to the detailed application.
The Environment Agency had objected because it wanted the development to include precautionary measures against the possible flooding of the seaside scheme.
