Family Fun Day at Pebsham Centre

Pebsham Community Association is holding a Family Fun Day over the bank holiday weekend on Sunday August 30.

It takes place at the Pebsham Community Centre, Seabourne Road, and runs from 11am until late.

It will be opened by the Pebsham Princesses.

Community Association Secretary Jackie Daley said: “The main event will be a Teddy Bears Picnic with a prize for the “Best Bear”.

“There will be a bouncy castle, face painting, traditional games, a book sale, name the bear, a tombola and much more.

There will also be live entertainment, a barbecue, beer available in the bar and light refreshments. The emphasis will be on fun and family.

“Should the weather be against us events will be held indoors.

“If anyone would like to hire a stall for the day, please telephone 01424 552242 to discuss availability.”

Pebsham Community Association is a registered charity, which was established in 1976,.

It’s aim is to provide facilities for social welfare, recreation and leisure time, with the purpose of improving conditions of life for all the people, young and old, of Pebsham and the surrounding area.

It holds a Pebsham Princesses competition in March where the winners are provided with dresses, tiaras and sashes and take part in the Bexhill Carnival and Community Association events.

The Association also organises regular clubs and activities as well as charity fund raising events.

It runs a Social Club at the Seabourne Road Centre.
