Films at local libraries

MOVIE-LOVERS have been given an entertaining offer this Christmas with the opportunity to rent three DVDs for the price of two at libraries throughout the region.

The East Sussex County Council’s Library and Information Service started the three for two initiative this month and it will run until the end of January 2012.

Councillor Tony Freebody, Lead Member for Community Services at the County Council said: “This is a great offer and an early Christmas present for film fans across the county.

“It’s open to library members and automatically given to new members - so pop down to your local library, join for free and you’ll be able to get your hands on more films right through the Yuletide period and into the New Year.

“We have loads of films to suit all ages and tastes for people to enjoy.”

New DVD arrivals include Bridesmaids, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Kate Winslet in Mildred Pierce. Arriving soon will be the final Harry Potter movie Deathly Hallows Part 2, and the adventure Cowboys and Aliens starring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.

Rental costs for a weeks viewing are £3 for adult titles and £1.80 for children’s.
