Firefighters tackle Cooden house fire

A fire broke out at a house in Cooden last night (Monday, November 2).

Firefighters from Bexhill, The Ridge and Hailsham fire stations, along with three officers, were called to the property in Cooden Drive just before 7.45pm following reports of smoke coming from the building.

Crews used six breathing apparatus, two main jets, one hose reel jet, one in seven foam and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.

All occupants were quickly accounted for and there are no reports of any injuries.

An investigation will take place to determine the cause of the fire.
