FIREFIGHTERS called to a property at Cantelupe Road at about 6.30pm on Sunday found a fire in the kitchen.

A crew from Bexhill assisted by one from Hastings worked at the scene for about an hour. Damage was said to be slight. The cause was an over-heated pan of food.
