Fishy encounter for former mayor Jim

As one of his last jobs in office he visited the new pedicure spa at Premier Nails and Beauty in Sea Road (pictured).

Owner Nina Briggs said Jimmy was fascinated with the foot spa treatment, which can help cure skin conditions and improve circulation, and asked questions throughout.

Also fascinated was youngster Hayley Okines, who suffers from ageing disease Progeria. She popped by with mum Kerry at the weekend and giggled the entire time as the Garra Rufa fish got to work gently nibbling at her feet.
