Free parking at hospitals in Christmas goodwill gesture
CAR parking will be free at both the Conquest and Eastbourne District General Hospitals on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day for visitors, patients and staff.
John Kirk, facilities manager for East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "We recognise that people want to spend time with their relatives who are unwell over the Christmas period.
"So as a goodwill gesture there will be free car parking for 48 hours from midnight on Christmas Eve until midnight on Boxing Day and then for the 24 hour period of New Year's Day."
