Fun Dog Show to help charity

Pet lovers are invited to join in a day of summer fun at the Blue Cross annual Summer Fete and Fun Dog Show

It takes place at the Blue Cross Centre at St Francis Field, Northiam, on Sunday September 6.

As well as live entertainment, games, stalls, a raffle and tasty treats from the barbecue, there will be lots of canine fun too.

Visiting dogs can try their paw at the agility course or enter the perennially popular Fun Dog Show, which will be running throughout the day.

Registration for the show starts at 9.30am and the first class begins at 10.30am. Perhaps your pet could be top dog in categories that include ‘most handsome dog’, ‘waggiest tail’ and ‘best Blue Cross rehomed dog’.

Maria Steel, Blue Cross Rehoming Centre Manager in Northiam, said: “Our summer fete and dog show is always a fantastic day and it’s always great to see lots of our supporters there – and their dogs too, of course.

“As well as being great fun, the event is also an important way for us to raise money to help continue caring for all the homeless pets here at the centre.”

For the second year, Northiam Blue Cross is also holding their Young Artists Competition, and animal paintings and drawings from budding young artists will be judged at the fete by nationally acclaimed animal portraitist, Kathryn Nicholls, who will also be displaying some of her own fantastic work at the event.
