German student left cut and bruised

A WOMAN who left a 13-year-old student cut and bruised after an assault is being sought by police.

Community Beat Officer PC Mick Dunn already has one witness to the attack but urgently needs to talk to people who witnessed events leading up to the incident.

PC Dunn says: "At about 7.15pm on Monday two German 13-year-old students were assaulted by a white English female aged about 20 to 30.

"She is described as 5ft 8ins and wore white clothing and had a short, bobbed, hair-cut.

"This occurred on the beach behind the De La Warr Pavilion. One of the girls has sustained cuts and bruising to her face consistent with an assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

"One witness has come forward who saw the assault but did not witness the events leading up to the attack.

"There were about 20 to 30 other members of the public on the front at this time, the weather was warm and fine.

"Police need to hear from anyone else who witnessed the assault and the events leading up to it."
