Hastings and Rother women are being urged to don their pink frilly Tu-Tu’s - or anything pink - and spring into step for the annual Cancer Research Uk’s Race For Life event at Alexandra Park on Sunday June 14.
Runners will be able to take part in two races of five and ten kilometres with both starting at 11am.
Runners gather at the Dordrecht Road entrance to the park and adult entry (women aged 16+) is £14.99; child entry (girls aged 6-15 and boys aged 13 or under) £10; under six entry (girls and boys) is free and no registration needed.
Jenny Ainsworth, Cancer Research UK’s Hastings Event Manager said: “She said: “Race for Life events are not competitive. They are not about being fit or fast. It’s about an army of women crossing the finish line together in the fight against cancer.”
A spokesperson for Cancer Research said: “We receive no Government funding for our research so we need your support through events like Race for Life to help us continue our ground-breaking work and help more people survive cancer.
