Gold watch lost

Now Joyce Blampid hopes this precious gift from her mother might still be found and returned.

Joyce, who lives in Osbern Close, was wearing the watch on December 4 when she visited Bexhill town centre and then went straight back home on the bus.

When she realised she had lost the watch she was "really upset".

Joyce, 69, said: "It's a little gold watch, and it has got a little gold St Christopher on it. I have had it for 48 years - my mother bought it for me.

"Even if I bought another watch it would not mean the same thing to me."

"It must have come off. I have worn it constantly for 48 years - then I go and lose it."

She has retraced her steps of that day, informed the police, contacted the bus company, but so far to no avail.
