The shop worker has her own theory for why she has become a target.

"I think what has happened is I have copped the back end of her bad mood. I just think she had the hump.

"If it is anything else and she thinks she can earn herself a reputation by bashing up grannies, then I feel sorry for her. She hasn't gone out there and hit someone her own age has she? I do feel sorry for this young lady."

The victim has never been attacked in her job before.

"I have had alot of mouth from customers before and so have my colleagues.

But generally I feel safe there.

"I have a good rapport with the children in the area and I don't want to ruin that because of this incident. They know me and I know them.

"I am going to bounce back from this."
