Greg moving home after marriage fails

BEXHILL MP Gregory Barker has put his Peasmarsh home on the market.

The MP is currently house hunting in the Battle and Bexhill area and says the move is largely due to planned changes in the constituency boundaries.

Father of three Mr Barker, 41, is divorcing Celeste, his wife of 14 years following a relationship with his gay lover William Banks-Blaney.

The Grade II listed eight bedroomed house, which has its own paddock and tennis courts, is on the market with a 3 million price tag.

Mr Barker confirmed the sale this week and said: "I have really enjoyed living in Peasmarsh - it is a fantastic village with lots to offer. But with the boundary changes I will be losing the Brede Valley and gaining Heathfield. Everything is moving west and it makes more sense to be nearer to Bexhill and Battle. I am still in the process of looking for a new home."
