The Friends of Egerton Park are already looking forward to this year’s Family Fun Day which will have a hip and groovy theme of the 1960s and 1970s.
Be there or be square - this will be a great opportunity to go crazy with fancy dress, with prizes for the best outfits to be awarded on the day. Friends of Egerton Park spokesman Graham Ward said: “We will this year include animals (donkey rides or a mini farm).
“There will be non-stop entertainment, music, exhibitions and demonstrations throughout the day which runs from 11-5pm.
“A huge raffle is also being held.
“Each school, and any other interested parties, is asked to submit a photograph as part of a competition.
“The subject is ‘Springtime in Egerton Park’.
“We are delighted thus far with sponsors and all those who have offered to help.”
If you wish to enter the photography competition, the deadline is May 8.
Any organisation wishing to put on a demonstration, or hire a stall, or contribute to the event should contact firstname.lastname@example.org which is also where photographs may be sent (one entry per person).
