The halls are alive with the sound of music for Festival

It's festival time again at the White Rock Theatre, which is set to come alive when Hastings Musical Festival presents over three weeks of enthralling performance in singing, dancing, instrumental music and drama.

All details can be found in the fast selling official Festival programme which gives details of the 1,800 scheduled performances from dancers, instrumentalists, singers, and actors of all ages.

Monday February 29 and Tuesday March 1 features singing for all ages in the Sussex Hall, followed by daily sessions of piano, keyboard and brass, whilst the International Piano Concerto Competition, which continues its first stage in the Main Hall on February 26 and 27, works towards its climax of the two evening final on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

The ever enjoyable Choirs Evening is on Thursday March 3, adjudicated this year by leading English Tenor, Neil Jenkins, and featuring Battle Abbey Ladies, Bexhill Harmony, Bourne Chorus, Cantabile, Concentus, East Kent Chorus, Jacs, St Laurence Church Choir Catsfield, St Laurence Church Choir Guestling, St Leonard’s Academy and Voice Prints. The evening will begin at 6pm with the 4th Hastings Brownies.
