Happy South Cliff resident nominates his builder for award

AN Eastbourne company has won a prestigious construction industry award for its work on a Bexhill property.

RBW Building Services from Eastbourne have scooped a Master Builder of Year Award, taking a Highly Commended prize for one of the Best Medium Renovation Projects in the South of England.

The Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders to find the best builders in Britain, tests each entrant's technical ability together with their customer service skills.

The awards are unique, as every entrant must be nominated by a satisfied customer.

The project for which the firm was nominated by happy client Keith Rhodes, involved extensions and major renovations to his South Cliff home.

Mr Rhodes said: "RBW has shown total commitment, great enthusiasm, real involvement and a complete knowledge of all the skills required to successfully deliver our project."

RBW Building Services owner Russell Wheatley said: "The award is the result of many years of work, training and consolidating the workforce into a team of craftsmen who all take great pride in their work. The competition was extremely strong and everyone is delighted with the award"

Hayley Fry, director of FMB Southern Counties said: "The Master Builder of the Year Awards give customers a chance to thank their builder for a job well done. There are plenty of great builders out there, but all too often we only hear of stories where things have gone wrong. The reality is that the majority of builders are hardworking, friendly and extremely skilled craftspeople, so we want to reward these companies and prove that building work in the South of England surpasses the rest."

"RBW has done a fantastic job to win a Highly Commended Award in this category."
