Homecall’s Christmas Charity Fayre took place at St Martha’s Church hall for the third consecutive year and raised over £500 for the charity.
Homecall scheme manager Leah Norman said: “A number of local Bexhill charities joined forces with Homecall on the day to make this the perfect event during the festive season.
“Those charities taking part included The British Heart foundation, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Bexhill Diabetes, Canine Partners, The Golden Marigold Club and of course Homecall.
“Bizzy Fingers who are a group of creative ladies who use their craft and skill to raise funds for charity kindly donated their takings for the day to Homecall.
“The Fayre was well supported by the general public who enjoyed the refreshments of bacon rolls and homemade cakes. There were lots of fun activities and a wide range of gifts, crafts and seasonal items on offer to be snapped up in time for Christmas.
“The stunning Christmas hamper kindly donated by a Homecall Supporter was won by a local Bexhill resident Margaret Donaldson who said that she ‘never win’s anything!’ and was very happy with the prize.
“This was a wonderful event with so many of the Bexhill charities coming together in order to make the Christmas Fayre such a resounding success. A big thank you and a very happy Christmas to all the charities concerned, and to all those volunteers who made this event such an outstanding success.”
