Homecall quiz fun

A successful third annual quiz night was held by Homecall at Christchurch Methodist church hall.

Ticket sales were slow to start because of the cold snap but on the evening 63 people enjoyed this popular event which included music supper and several quiz rounds.

Organiser Jenny Private said: "Our grateful thanks Barry Turnwell for affording us the use of the church hall, to all those who came, to those who organised the event and helped on the day and to our 'Quizzer', Bernice, who keeps the questions answerable ensuring enjoyment for all. With 15 teams of four and one team of three the odds were certainly against them, but well done to the 'Cole team' who were victorious despite having one less member in their team than everybody else.

"We made a handsome profit of 562.44 for Homecall, which enables us to continue to offer support to Blind and Partially Sighted people living in and around Bexhill. "Thank you all very much for your support."
