Our September meetings for visually-impaired members started as usual with Janet’s popular Quiz and a fund-raising raffle.

This was followed by Louise Denny and her accordion. Louise presented a most enjoyable programme of English music - including some patriotic and soul-stirring pieces amongst others - to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming our longest-reigning monarch.

Mid-month we enjoyed lunch out at Di Paolo’s in Bexhill, where most members tucked into fish and chips. Next, to help keep us in trim, Diana Copp put us through our paces with Extend Yourself Chair Exercises and then the month finshed with a Bingo session.

We would welcome more members with sight problems and mini-bus transport may be available.

We are also looking for another volunteer. We meet on Wednesday afternoons from 2.15-4.00 pm in Hastings. Further details from Marie Turner on 01424 428866 or Rosemary Bartholomew at
