Hurrah - it's Ninfield Pram Race

It's that time of year already - May Day Bank Holiday - which round here means the fun, thrills and spills of Ninfield Pram Race.

This is an annual event and the entire village is expected to either watch or take part in the hugely enjoyable but competitive race on Monday.

This year Ninfield Carnival Association, alongs with the Parish Council, is holding the event on the Recreation Ground for the first time - this means more space and better viewing of the whole racecourse, and softer landings for pram racers.

There will be all the usual refreshments, including barbacue and bar, fancy dress competition, raffle and tote, and funds raised by the event will go to the charity Alzheimer's Society, Research and Trust.

The fun starts at 11am, with the first race at 11.45 for Juniors, 12.15 - Seniors, 12.45 - Adults, 1.15 Mixed/Fun ,1.45 Race against S.I.D, and 2pm - Prizegiving. All times are approximate.
