It grows in popularity every year and now Bexhill is awaiting the heart-warming spectacle of the third Santa Dash tomorrow.

This fun family event is open to all ages and abilities. The De La Warr Pavilion and Bexhill’s seafront will again be the setting for the colourful sponsored event.

While raising vital funds for chosen good causes, Santas can run, jog, walk, push prams, walk the dog or use a wheelchair on the flat user friendly promenade. Registration is from 10.30am on the day on the De La Warr Pavilion Terrace and the festive hooter will start entrants from near the fountains at 11.30am.

The Santas will head off along the seafront towards Brookfields Road, returning to the DLWP terrace, a distance of 2km(1.2miles).

Those keen to get in training for their busy Christmas deliveries can go on to Galley Hill then turn back and return to the terrace, a distance of 5km (3.1miles).

Lions President Paul Fleming said: “This is a great event that the whole town can be involved with and we hope hundreds will take part. Last year the sight of over 150 Santas, classic cycles was just brilliant.”

Entry is £11 Adults (14 yrs+) and £6 child(5-14yrs). This includes a free Santa outfit for you to run in. These can be collected from the Lions ‘stall at the Farmer’s Market today, Friday December 4, 8am-2pm. To register visit This year there are prizes for the best decorated pram, wheelchair and dog.
