Join popular theatre group

Want to enjoy the smell of the greasepaint and roar of the crowd? If so, Little Common and Bexhill Players would love to hear from you.

The group is appealing for new members - particularly backstage helpers.

Spokesman Jenny Taylor said: “We are asking for people to contact us if interested in joining and getting involved.”

There are 20 in the group at present, which meets on Tuesday evenings at Little Common Community Centre.

The group performs a play, pantomime and a review show every year, which Jenny says are “well received” by the community.

She commented: “It is hard work but usually it is very rewarding when it all comes together, you get the audience in and everyone seems to enjoy it. That is what it is all about.

“We need people of all sorts really - set construction, lighting and sound, someone who might stage manage... anyone who is capable.

“We have got very good facilities down there - we are very fortunate in that we have got our own miniature theatre.”
