It is believed the kayak was lifted over the top of a locked garden gate and carried away.

PC Ian Riches, of Hastings police, said, “Although this theft was reported in July, we believe that the kayak may have been stolen a few weeks before.

“We believe it may have been sold on a social media site sometime between Friday 12 and Sunday 14 June.

“We would like to speak to whoever may have bought this distinctive kayak as they may have vital information and also be unaware it was stolen property.”

Anyone able to help is asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 712 of 20/7.

Alternatively they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
