Keep an eye out for Santa’s tour


Father Christmas and his Bexhill Rotary helpers will be visiting Bexhill in December to raise money for good causes.

The jolly old gent and his brightly lit sleigh will be at Little Common on Tuesday December 8 paying a visit to Oakleigh Road; Willow Drive; Chestnut Walk; The Gorseway; Fontwell Avenue; Frant Avenue; Spring Lane; Berwick Close; Cowdray Park Road and Levant Close.

On Wednesday December 9 he stops off at Courthope Drive and will also be stopping at Duke Street; Riders Bolt; Bale Close; Blackfields Avenue; Summer Hill Road; Primrose Hill and Knebworth Road.

Thursday December 10 sees visits to Cranston Avenue plus Collington Park Crescent; Collington Lane East; Fairfield Chase; Winston Drive; Alexander Drive; Eden Drive; Whitehill Drive and Collington Grove.

It is the turn of Hawkhurst Way on Friday December 11 when he will also be stopping at The Shrublands; Saltdean Wa; Monterey Gardens; Ashcombe Drive; Tilgate Drive Shipley Lane and The Spinney.

On Monday December 14 the Christmas tour hits Glenleigh Avenue; Glenleigh Park Road; Kingswood Avenue; The Fairway; Broad View; Ward Way; Warwick Road Hever Crescent and Dalmeny Road.

The final destination, on Wednesday December 16, will be Mount Idol View as well as Pankhurst Rise; Jubilee RoaPaton Road and Beacon Hill.

As well as helping Father Christmas, Bexhill Rotary members will be out collecting for charities and good causes outside Sainsburys on december 4 and 6 and at Marks and Spencers, Ravenside, on December 18 and 20 and at Tesco, Ravenside, on December 23.

Bexhill Rotary Club has been raising money for good causes since being formed in 1923.

It meets fortnightly on the 1st 3rd and 5th Tuesday of each month at 7 for 7.15 at the Cooden Beach Golf Club and welcomes new members.
