It contains illustrations provided by children from All Saints CE Junior School and has been designed and printed by local firms free of charge.

Ms Varrall, who was accompanied to the event by Cllr Stuart Wood, said:

"I admire this twist on the coffee morning scheme for fundraising. I have given up eating cakes during Lent and so the temptation was huge.

The book is a useful reminder but also makes us realise how lucky we are to be able to enjoy such treats. I am also looking forward to helping with the tree planting project, which aims to create a special place to visit for years to come, in the autumn."
