In November 2014, two masked men burst in to the bookies and threatened a member of staff with a handgun.

One of the men leapt over the counter and took the contents of the till before the pair escaped with several hundred pounds of cash.

But Sussex Police say the two incidents are not being linked.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The previous incident at the premises in November 2014 has been reviewed, but has not been linked at this time.

No-one was ever arrested over the 2014 robbery.

Witnesses to Saturday’s incident are asked to contact police at [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 1255 of 26/03.
