The year certainly ended with a bang when the crackers and party poppers exploded throughout the hall to announce the start of our Xmas party. Joan and her large team of willing helpers, produced a magnificent display of food, with groaning tables running the length of the hall. The good food, wine, quizzes and social atmosphere made it a very enjoyable and entertaining evening and a great ending to our year. Many thanks to everyone for working so hard to produce a wonderful evening. One of our loyal mature members, now finding it difficult to attend, did say that by reading our reports she could keep in touch with our activities and still feel part of the group. I hope that this has helped, we were thinking of you.
Our first meeting of the year will be Gary Ensor from Batemans talking on the conservation methods of the National Trust at the Community Centre, January 9th. starting at 7.15p.m. Visitors very welcome (£2). With the start of the new year, comes the reminder that subs are now due.
