The LCHS held their AGM last Friday which was presided over by Alan Gilbert, Malcolm Moss and Martin Haswell. Following the meeting a very informative talk and demonstration was given by Mike Dean, Senior Team Leader of Bexhill, Hastings and Rother Community First Responders who support the South Coast Ambulance Service. He showed members how to activate and use a defibrillator. These defibrillators are funded through donations and are found around the Bexhill area including two in Little Common. The demonstration showed members the correct way to use the machine and this information made everyone aware of the importance of having access to a defibrillator to help someone having a cardiac arrest. Mike answered questions from the floor afterwards to allay any concerns about using the machine and everyone present thanked him at the end of the talk.
