Local steam railway hasorganised family fun

The Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway, which runs historic locomotives from Tenterden, Bodiam and Northiam, has organised fund events for families during the school summer holidays.

Steam Trains will depart every day until 4 September between Tenterden Station and Bodiam Station at 10:40; 11:45; 1:15; 2.20 and 3:35.

There is balloon modelling and Punch and Judy at Tenterden Station on August 22, 24 26 and 31 and face painting on August 25.

knowledgeable guides will be on board the 10:40; 1:15pm and 3:30pm trains from Tenterden to answer questions about the railway and share some interesting history on the area.

The railway has a specially designed coach for wheelchair users.
