Macmillan spring fair

Thai jewellery, bric-a-brac, nearly new clothing - it was all there for shoppers to admire at the spring fair hosted by the Little Common and Bexhill branch of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday morning.

Committee chairman Cynthia Edwards said: "This is our annual Spring fair - and it has now been 19 years of the branch here in Bexhill.

We have to thank the generosity of Sidley WI - Vi Curtis, Mary Cooke, Rosemary Dennis and Sheila King - who have provided cakes. They are very good to us - I don't know what we would do without them." She also thanked Cathy Spicer who organises the bric-a-brac stall.

She said of this year's fair at St Martha's Church Hall: "We have had a very good turn-out. We were very busy first thing, and masses of stuff has gone."
