December 23:

Archibald Hughes (aged 53), of Sea Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Bexhill on October 17. He was given a six month conditional discharge .

December 30:

Jamie Cates (aged 25), of Maidstone, Kent, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a small quantity of cocaine at Hastings on October 18. He was fined £120.

John Larkin (aged 29) of Salisbury Road, St Leonards, was sent to prison for 16 weeks after pleading guilty to five charges of stealing from shops and two charges of assault by beating. On three separate dates in December he stole ten bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey from Asda in St Leonards, worth £270. He also stole meat from Lidl worth £49.89 and fragrances from Superdrug worth £52.

Sam Stanger (aged 23), of Wilton Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Bexhill on December 11. He was fined £80.

Michael Bird (aged 42), of Midhurst Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating, at St Leonards, on December 13. He also pleaded guilty to damaging a windscreen and rearview mirror of a vehicle belonging to Phoenix Taxis and assaulting a police officer and damaging his glasses. The court ordered him to pay £1,655 in fines, court costs and compensation.

Rosalind Bolton (aged 25), of the Link, Rye, was jailed for 26 weeks after pleading guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offence took place in Havelock Road, Hastings, on October 31 2015. Magistrates said the reason for the prison sentence was because of a deliberate kick in the face on returning to the victim and was aggravated by being alcohol -fuelled. She was also ordered to pay £80 compensation.

Sean Dulice (aged 31), of Dagnall Park, London, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW car on Amherst Road, Hastings, on October 22 with cannabis in his bloodstream. He was fined £80 and banned from driving for 12 months.

Steve Morement (aged 48), of Bexhill Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan vehicle on Battle High Street, on December 13 while twice over the legal drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 71 microgrammes. The legal is limit is 35mg. He was fined £600 and banned from driving for 18 months.

Scot Marchant (aged 40), of Yates Close, Camber, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the drink drive limit. The offence took place at Yates Close, on November 25. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 96mg. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £384 and banned from driving for nine months. 

Romany Burns, (aged 22), of Carisbrooke Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to causing £540 damage to a window at Pam’s Kitchen, Harold Place, on October 17. The court made a community order.
