Thirty volunteers spent Saturday morning combing the Downs and collected 25 bags of Rubbish including a number of school chairs, an exhaust from a car as well as a fully intact road sign still attached to its pole.

The group have their final beach clean this Saturday before the council take over responsibility on the 1st April. It is likely that summer cleans will include the Downs, so if you are interested look out for details and just turn up to help make your town a better and cleaner place.
