An elderly man who collapsed outside a railway station has died, despite the valiant attempts of passersby to save him.
The 80-year-old collapsed outside Bexhill station just after 8pm on Friday (December 5).
Members of the public performed First Aid on the man before two ambulances and a paramedic car arrived on the scene.
The man, from St Leonards, was rushed to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
But sadly he passed away a short time later.
Police officers were called to the scene, but confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
It is thought the man may have suffered a cardiac arrest.
A spokesperson for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), thanked all the members of the public who tried to help the man.
