Man jailed following attack in Bexhill

A man has been jailed for six years following an attack in Bexhill.

Police said the victim, a 35-year-old local man, was pushed off his moped and stabbed twice in the back in Albert Road.

Frazer Robson, 19, unemployed and of Cuthbert Close, Bexhill, was arrested and subsequently charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He pleaded guilty and appeared for sentencing on November 17.

DC Naomi Morrison said: “This was a violent attack which hospitalised the victim, but fortunately his injuries were not life-threatening.

“I am pleased with the sentence and hope he feels some sense of justice has been served.”

The attack happened on Tuesday, August 30.
