A martial arts school will be giving people the chance to try out kick-boxing at a popular family event in Bexhill next week.
Heart of Sidley’s Family Fun Day is back again with a whole host of entertainment booked for the Recreation Ground in Sidley from 11am to 3pm on Friday, August 19.
New for this year is an arena with a display from Freestyle Combat Academy, giving everyone a taster of the kick-boxing and boxing self-defence classes it already runs for Heart of Sidley.
Heart of Sidley team assistant Audrey Pinnington said its popular mascot Sid will be there to make sure everyone has a good time.
“The Recreation Ground on Canada Way is a perfect place to hold this fantastic event,” she said.
“The ground is right in the heart of our lovely village and is big enough to accommodate all the excited children, and adults that we hope will come along and enjoy the fun of the day.
“The Heart of Sidley mascot Sid will also be making an appearance to give a hand and join in the fun.”
The event is free of charge and attendees will be able to have fun on the bouncy castles, crazy golf, giant red ball challenge and family sumo suits which were hugely popular last year.
Sweet Cheeks Face Painter will also be at the Family Fun Day and some of the local traders will be coming along too.
Along with stalls from the De La Warr Pavilion and Bexhill Lions both offering lots of things to do.
The ice-cream van is expected to be very popular as is the BBQ, offering burgers for £1.
The Fun Day in 2015 was a huge success and the Heart of Sidley team have worked hard to repeat last year’s fantastic event, Audrey said.
If the weather is very poor, the event will be cancelled but this will be announced on Heart of Sidley’s Facebook page.
