Milk float sheds its load on Little Common Road

A MILK float and trailer shed its load on Little Common Road earlier today (Friday)closing the road for several hours while a massive clean-up operation was performed by the fire department, police support units and environmental health.

No one was injured in the accident but the load, consisting of 120 crates containing 5,000 glass bottles of milk, was described by a fire officer as being extremely 'toxic' due to milk and glass not only on the surface of the road but in the drains.

It's believed that the driver of the vehicle lost control as he rounded the bend near the Denbigh Pub causing the crates to fall off the side.
