Museum coffee morning

BEXHILL museum held a Christmas coffee morning at Parkhurst Hall on Thursday.

Museum publicity officer June Brewer said this was the second Christmas event at Parkstone Hall, held to raise funds for the new museum, which is due to open in May next year.

She said: "We always have our coffee mornings at Parkstone Hall, local people know we hold them here and they are always popular."

There was much on offer including home-made cakes and scones, books, toys, christmas cards, videos, DVD's and, with over twenty donated gifts, a well supplied raffle.

An added Christmas bonus was a variety of scrumptious hand-made sweets made by museum creative events organiser Sheila Hayes. The tempting range on offer included coconut ice, peppermint creams and brandy truffles.

Teas coffees and mince pies were served.
