Eastbourne Feastival, June 27-28, is a celebration of culture, cuisine and the arts from around the world.

Taking place at Eastbourne’s stunning Green Flag awarded Princes Park, the free weekend-long festival welcomes anyone looking to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the globe, all in one place. Bringing people together, this is a fantastic festival to celebrate international culture on the UK’s South Coast.

From 11am until 10pm each day, food and drink lovers will be overwhelmed with an abundance of delectable goods on offer.

From Spanish, Thai and Greek to Mexican, Eastern European and African, both international and local vendors will be bringing the flavours and tastes of the world to Eastbourne.

Added to the mix will be arts and entertainment, showcasing a diversity of cultural and global talent. Local live bands, street artists, acoustic singers, African drummers, children’s Theatre groups, Brazilian dancers and local fitness groups will provide an eclectic fusion of arts and culture, making the festival a treat for the eyes and the ears, as well as the stomach.

Eastbourne Borough Council senior head of tourism and leisure Phil Evans, said, “To have a festival celebrating culture and cuisine held in Eastbourne in the height of summer, is a wonderful thing.

“There aren’t many other festivals in Sussex where visitors can enjoy Japanese, Portuguese or Venezuelan food whilst watching Turkish belly dancers or modern covers sung by the young Ukulele Boys.

“With Eastbourne Feastival set against the beautiful backdrop of Eastbourne’s seafront, visitors to the town will experience a feast for all the senses.”

The challenge is on to find Eastbourne’s first chilli hotdog champion in a chilli hotdog eating contest of Man and Woman vs Food, on June 28.

The first 15 people to enter on the day will take part in the eating competition with the person who can take the heat of the most chilli ‘dogs winning £200 prize money.
