Ninfield Village Voice - December 26

CAROL SERVICES: Both St. Oswald's church in Hooe and St. Mary's Church in Ninfield held successful separate Carol Services last week, they were well attended and the refreshments provided were much enjoyed.

Margaret thanks everyone who helped decorate St. Oswald's for their carol service.

St. Mary's Church: She who fetches the water thanks all the ladies who gave of their time and talent last Saturday to decorate the church for Christmas. You are much appreciated.

Ninfield Bowls Club: The Christmas party was most successful, enjoyable and full of laughter. There was musical accompaniment and wonderful refreshments provided by the members. Best wishes for a succesful season in 2009.

Ninfield Golden Circle: The ladies really enjoyed their Christmas party. The refreshments provided by a caterer were simply delicious, you had to be early in the queue to have a slice of one particular cake.

Crib Service 2008: So many families attended a rather special crib service last Sunday (December 21), the church rang with children's voices, adults joined in guided by the Rector, Simon, and Elaine who had organised the 'angels' and others. I am sure the children will remember having such a good time. On their behalf I thank all the 'grown ups' who organised the service.

From me: I hope you all had a good Christmas and wish you a Peaceful New Year.
