Accidents will happen on road

I have just travelled the new link road both ways and the experience was haunting.

The road at one point is three lanes and marked as three lanes.

Quite a lot of the road is wide enough to be three lanes but only marked as two so the middle is like a free for all for over taking?

It reminded me of the Pevensey bypass which has after many accidents been altered by moving the with lines in at the verges to narrow the road and reduce over taking and therefore reduce accidents.

This road by its design is a fast road and there will be so many accidents if it is not altered.
