An introduction of the car parking fees throughout Bexhill will certainly have an adverse effect on the town.

There will be no need to widen pavements to allow for social distancing because the footfall will not warrant it.

Thank you Chris Madeley for mentioning Manor Barn in the Old Town. This is a venue used by many organisations both small and large, who are encouraged by the free parking arrangements. In addition there is the access for the doctors, dentist and chemist. Paying a £1 for 1 hour just to collection a prescription is a bit excessive .

As for the promise of a six month trial everyone knows that this will become a permanent arrangement, just another cash cow paid for by the motorist.
