Breathe life back into old church

Whatever one may think about Wetherspoons, it is good to see life being breathed into the Old Cinema building.

It was also good to see that Cameleon Refurbishments have been refused planning permission to demolish St. Andrew’s Church.

Situated so close to the town centre, it would make an ideal community hub, tourist information point, motoring or model train museum or a local cinema.

Word on the street is that the multiplex cinema at Eastbourne Marina is to close. If this is so, perhaps the last purpose would be the best.

So, is there someone out there with money and vision, who can preserve the beauty of this building and breathe life into it?
